Hello 2015!

It started raining a few hours before midnight on New Years Eve. Here we are, two days later, and it's STILL raining.  Some people would take it raining ALL DAY on the first two days of the year as a bad omen.

But not me.

I love the rain.  There's this really beautiful song that they teach the children at my church. The lyrics are as thus:

I like to look for rainbows,
whenever there is rain.
And ponder on the beauty,
of an earth made clean again.

I want my life to be as clean,
as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can
and live with God again.

I know when I am baptized,
my wrongs are washed away,
And I can be forgiven
and improve myself each day.

I want my life to be as clean,
as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can
and live with God again.

Now, this is about baptism. but in my opinion it fits perfectly for the beginning of a new year. A new year where you can begin again and improve every day from that point to be the best that you can be. Set new goals, get healthy, read your scriptures every day, give more time to your family, just be better. I've realized over the past couple years that New Years Resolutions are a bust. I use the fact that they are New Year Resolutions as an excuse for not keeping them. So instead, this year, I'm going to choose some New Years themes. Here are my themes for the year.

I'm printing this off and putting it on my mirror so that I can see it regularly and remember these themes throughout the year.  I am so excited for what 2015 has in store for me and my family. And you know what? Bring on the rain. I'm ready for it.
